The Warranty

The provided warranty safeguards consumer rights in accordance with Law no. 449/2003 regarding the sale of products and associated warranties, and Government Ordinance no. 21/1992 regarding consumer protection.

The warranty period for gold jewelry is 2 years, covering any lack of conformity existing at the time of sale. The authenticity and characteristics of the precious material — 14k gold (585‰) / 18k gold (750‰) / platinum — as well as the gemstones set in the jewelry mountings, are guaranteed for life.

The warranty is honored through repair or replacement, as applicable. Repairs for products under warranty will be performed free of charge within 7 business days, provided it is confirmed that the defect is not attributable to the consumer.

The warranty does not cover damage to the jewelry caused by failure to follow the instructions in the certificate, accidents, negligence, improper use, or other factors unrelated to material or workmanship defects. In such cases, repairs will be performed for a fee. The customer will be informed of the cost prior to the repair work being carried out. Shipping costs are borne by the customer if delivery is requested.

Maintenance Recommendations

For the proper maintenance of Nestelli jewelry, we recommend the following:

  • Handle jewelry set with stones or pearls with care, as their mountings are not resistant to mechanical shock.
  • Store your jewelry in the boxes provided at the time of purchase, or in other boxes designed for jewelry storage.
  • Do not wear your jewelry while performing rough household chores, or activities where there is a risk of contact with sulfur-containing substances.
  • Do not wear your jewelry during physical activities.
  • Avoid contact with chemicals, as they may erode the material.
  • Precious metal may lose its luster over time if it frequently comes into contact with agents such as perfume, saltwater, skin creams, hairspray, chlorine, or sulfur.

Depending on the frequency of use, we recommend having your jewelry inspected and cleaned by a jeweler at least once a year.

A Note on Precious Metals

Gold is obtained by alloying the precious metal with a mixture of other metals that give it its specific hue. To enhance the shine of white gold jewelry, the pieces are plated with rhodium. This rhodium layer may wear off within 6–12 months, causing the jewelry to lose some of its luster — a natural characteristic, and part of the care a fine piece invites.

For stone-set jewelry, should a stone come loose or fall out during the warranty period, the seller will replace it free of charge, provided the issue is not attributable to the buyer.
